A shocking question......

Ok, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a set of shocks for my 58. I have a 3" drop axle in the front and a set of 4" dropped leafs in the rear, no flip on axle.
Thanks guys...

Re: A shocking question......

I dropped mine 6" all the way around and used Nitro Slammer shocks from Performance Online

Re: A shocking question......

I ended up taking some measurements, then matching them up in the Monroe catalog: http://www.monroe.com/retail/assets/...engthSheet.pdf

Here is another version that someone organized a little differently: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=229464

You can look at different mounting point types, and well as min. and max. travel. Then, if you don't like Monroe, take the part number to your favorite shop and have them cross reference it. That's what I did with my NAPA shocks. Might even be a site out there that cross references for you.

Re: A shocking question......

i did the same as hogger and ended up with monroe-matic 33086
that number will probably fit your truck too
mine uses stock shock mounts on a flipped axle but the lower shock mount didn't move much
