Drop spindle install on a 60 c10
Was interested in doing a disc brake conversion using a 2.5in drop spindle in front. Are there kits available that are a direct bolt on to stock suspension? Also do I need to have the disc brakes as powder brakes or can I leave them manual. 60 chevy Stepside...

YES,... most all spindle manufacturers make a 60-62 drop spindle for the torsion bar trucks.
You can run a manual or boosted mastercylinder. Just make sure it and the prop valve are for a disc brake application. Here's a couple,... http://www.summitracing.com/search/y...-type/spindles Also check out board vendors like Pro Performance for great deals.

I used drop spindles, disc brake kit, and a powerbrake/hydraulic clutch master cylinder from CPP for my 1961. Very good quality and very easy bolt in without any modifications.

Thanx for the link lowlife...have been researching but wanted to hear it from someone that has actually done it. Also, Do you know if you can use hubs from a 63-66 and put them on a 60 stock spindle. I have heard people doing this so they can go with the cheaper cost bearings.
