Offroad light modification

I just had a random thought and was wondering if anyone has ever tried such a thing. Ive got 6 offroad "driving" lights that arent worth a pot to piss in for driving and have thought of using them as floods. Now i do know the lenses arent what i would need to do so but had thought of this. Would it be possible to use a privacy window film from lowes or home depot to put over the glass thus dispursing the light? Ive got a couple of floods on the rear of my rig and they have a really good dispursing lense so i figured why not! Any thoughts?? Here is a link of the film I though of. http://www.lowes.com/pd_401486-45825...7C1&facetInfo= Or maybe this one. http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?...llow&cId=PDIO1

My thought is to just cut to the shape of the light and stick it on.

Some brands you could just buy the front cover,It most cost more then your way but will bolt right on saving time.

Re: Offroad light modification

I dont think i would be able to do that.... the lights are el cheapo single piece light housings with a plastic shell. Theyre Baja brand. I know they are super cheap but hell might as well get some use out of them.
