Boyd's Tank - which return location?

Quick question for those using Boyd's fuel tank.

There appear to be two locations which I could use for the return. One on the bottom corner, and one at the top. The one at the top doesn't have a line back down to the bottom, so the fuel would essentially pour back in. Guessing the bottom location is the way to go here?

The bottom is the one. The top would generate a lot of static.
