66 C10 Trailing Arms
Need some help with trailing arms for 66 C10. Bought the truck with a 77 C10 leaf spring rear end bolted on....needs to go. The frame mount for the trailing arms on my 66 are still there. My question is this.....is there any difference in length of trailing arms between long and short bed trucks? I have access to trailing arms from a 72 C10 long bed....will they fit?
Any help on this is much appreciated! |

Re: 66 C10 Trailing Arms
Trailing arms are the same between long and short bed trucks. They are made from two channels riveted together and water can collect and rust them out from the center out so make sure to inspect them. I got a pair that looked great until I scraped off the undercoat and they were full of holes. HTH

Re: 66 C10 Trailing Arms
You will need the trailing arms, springs, spring plates and a panhard bar along with a rear end setup for trailing arms. The 72 would be a good donor for all this if you can get it.
