Venting gas tank
I'm putting a Mustang tank in the back of my 70. The tank is not vented. When I was removing my old tank I noticed it has vents. I'm putting the gas cap in my bed so I done have the room for a vented cap.
Do I need to vent this tank? |

Re: Venting gas tank
If its not vented then eventually it will restrict the flow of fuel, most non efi tanks need a vent for atmospheric pressure, could be a gas cap as long as its designed to let air in, plus its a good idea to have an additional vent tube on the filler so the gas doesn't burp when filling.
