Hood problems

Alright guys. I just got around to putting the new to me 67 clip on my truck. Put the hood on and it's not looking so good. I'm thinking the hood may be bowed in the back as it doesn't sit flat all the way along the cowl. And also the gap to the fenders aren't looking so good in the rear. Lines up nicely in the front though on both sides and lines up with the grille.
The fenders are also straight and not bowed.

I know some of you may just mention something about hood hinges, but I do not have hood hinges on the truck and the hood will never be on hinges.

Re: Hood problems

I was thinking about heating up the top edges in the back on both sides and pulling them out, but then again that won't fix the bow in the middle. And I'm not sure if heating them and pulling them out would mess with the front alignment.

Re: Hood problems

If there is a bow in the middle, you'll need to fix that or get another hood.

Re: Hood problems

You didn't include a pic of the side so we could see the cowl and the hood together across the seem. from the two pics you did include it doesn't look too high at the back just too narrow, that is why that other pic would have been helpful in trying to figure this out.

Re: Hood problems

I will go out and take a picture and get it loaded on here later tonight. I went out and looked at it some more today and the bow in the back is weird to me. It's even with the cowl on the drivers side, but about the middle all the way to the passenger side is not level. I'll get off here and go snap some pics
