Need help

I have a 71 that I'm lowering and have a quick question for you guys who have some experience with flip kits. The truck has leafs and I'm doing a flip kit for the rear. I already have installed front drop spindles and 2 inch drop springs it brought the front down 4.5 inches now my question is a flip only yields 5 inches correct I don't want the truck to rake so I will need to go more then 5 do I install drop shackles or blocks and the smallest shackles only come in 2 inch that would put me at 4.5 front 7 rear which might be a little to much 6 sounds better just need a little wisdom from you smart guys out there

Re: Need help

This is my 71 with 2.5 spindles 1" springs and a flip with new leafs. You shouldn't have a rake, the flip seems more than 5" to me.

Re: Need help

Your old springs will probably drop you about 7". Here is a write up on my experience. I believe the DJM is the only flip kit for our year leafs. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=577529
