Dip stick tube leaks
Oil coming out from where the dip stick tube goes into the block. Replace or seal?
Any advice appreciated |

On the replacement, I bought a chrome one from auto parts and used a box end wrench that just fit over the tube to tap it in. So far that's lasted longer. If it comes out easily you can try inserting something on the end of the tube to expand it slightly for a tighter fit, however, if the engine hole is wallowed out from someone messing with it before, it's touch and go.

Re: Dip stick tube leaks
Either will help. It's just a friction fit. You could try cleaning and slipping an o-ring on or a dab of RTV I guess. A new one should do the trick, though,if you don't want to try the other fixes

Re: Dip stick tube leaks
I have used JB weld to seal that up before. Have to degrease it very well first.
