Oh the catalytic converter? Yea this one's been on there for 30 years. It's got to be plugged up solid - hahaha. It's a wonder it even ran and drove. When I connect the LS to the existing exhaust it will be after that fo sho.

Re: Don Pedro - 83 Sierra Classic brown stepper

Fitted the mounts to the engine. I can drop it in for a test fit now. Looks like the A/C will HAVE to be moved to take advantage of any of the slot.

Went with these: http://dirtydingo.com/store/product_...oducts_id=1308

Re: Don Pedro - 83 Sierra Classic brown stepper

Got a plan for the fuel system. Using existing dual tanks. Adding '87 sender assemblies with '96 pumps. Found a high pressure tank switch valve and '87 dash switch to maintain the dual tank set up. Plan on using high pressure fuel injection hoses and as much of the existing steel line as I can. Still need to figure out the dual fuel pump relay switching plan. I got the WIX 33737 Fuel Filter $ 32.79 also but not sure exactly if I need this or how I will plumb it. The truck has return and vent lines (3 lines) from the valve forward and 2 lines coming off the motor. I assume one is fuel return but dunno if there's a regulator up there yet.

SPECTRA PREMIUM / COOLING DEPOT FG05M Fuel Tank Sending Unit $ 62.79
SPECTRA PREMIUM / COOLING DEPOT FG05N Fuel Tank Sending Unit $ 68.79

Pollak FSV2A 6-port Dual Fuel Tank Gas Select Valve W/ Toggle Switch 65 PSI Max $79.95
