I ASSUME YOUR TALKING ABOUT ADJUSTING THE VALVES. I DON'T NORMALLY GO IN ANY SPECIFIC ORDER, BUT I DO PUT A MARK WITH A MAGIC MARKER ON THE HEAD AFTER EACH VALVE IS ADJUSTED, SO I'LL KNOW WITCH ONE HAS BEEN DONE.. I JUST TURN THE MOTOR OVER BY HAND, & WHEN ONE VALVE IS ALL THE WAY OPEN (FOR INSTANCE THE INTAKE) IT IS ON THE TOE OF THAT CAM LOBE, & THE EXHAUST VALVE OF THE SAME CYL. IS ON THE HEAL OF THE CAM LOBE, & THIS IS WHEN YOU ADJUST IT. THEN JUST TIGHTEN IT DOWN UNTIL ALL THE PLAY IS OUT OF THAT CORRESPONDING PUSHROD, OR IT IS AT ZERO LASH. THEN TIGHTEN IT DOWN AN ADDITIONAL 5/8 OF A TURN.
CLEAR AS MUD HUH??? JOHN

Here is a link that shows how to adjust your valves. You set have at TDC then turn the motor over 360 degrees and adjust the other half of the valves. Sound easy Huh?? ...Short/Step
