I think there are at least 3 different ones. The '67's are all by themselves because the front panel is thinner. Then there is one with a the thicker front panel that has ball bearing slides and one with a thicker front panel without ball bearing slides. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.... LockDoc

Re: ash tray help
The ball-bearing one was called the "Deluxe Ash Tray."
No kidding.

Re: ash tray help
Im thinking 71- 72 had the plastic guides rather than ball bearings. And yup 67 is all by itself

Re: ash tray help
I think I have a couple of ash trays. If you know what you need, I'll check out the stash. If I have the one you need, it's yours.

Re: ash tray help
Pulled out the trays and brackets this morning. Nice day here.....So it was a two cup garage-puttering morning, anyway.
I found two ball-bearing ashtrays and one of each 1) ball bearing bracket and 1) slotted bracket. I don't know about there being three different ones, but, as I said, I've got two ball bearing trays that will clean up nicely, one ball bearing bracket, and one "slotted" bracket with no accompanying tray. I don't need 'em. Here are some pics. Brackets are turned upside-down for the pics.

I know you must be familiar with the drill. No price. Thankfully, for a bunch of us that will likely die poor in some ways, but happy in other ways, it's not about money. Send me your address. It's yours. Send someone else something from your stash when they need it.

Re: ash tray help
truckdude:
I lubed it up with just a spot of grease and it works very nicely. No dents . But of course you'll wanna clean her up and paint the face.... I'm sending the tray and the bracket, just in case. As soon as I get your address either PM'd to me or just send it to keener@sti.net...(I'm not much on "privacy"), I'll shoot it to you. Have fun.
