New Member... stalking this site for awhile...

Just saying hi! I have been pretty much stalking this site for a good while. Finally decided to post something. I've had my 72 GMC for about 2 months now and I love it.

Well here's a couple pics

welcome to the site. I have always wondered how good the little mirrors at the top of the doors where. Can you see well through them? I know I always had a hard time seeing through the round sport mirrors due to the window vents.

Re: New Member... stalking this site for awhile...

The best side mount rear view mirrors are the West Coast Jrs, IMO. Below-Eyeline types would mount on the door and not interfere with your chrome window-top rain guards.
With the big mirrors, you get real good rearward surveillance -- miles back. Cops can't sneak up on you. Don't worry about the loss of aerodynamics -- you're driving a truck, anyway. Might as well know what's coming up behind you.
Nice truck. I have a '71 GMC Jimmy myself. I love it.
