drive shaft question

so i think my driveshaft is bent, a u-joint cap popped out while driving and the driveshaft hit the deck....limped it home...fixed the u-joints, drove it a couple days later and had a weird vibration at 50 mph or so, so i got the tires balanced and it help a little bit but not all the way...now there is a little annoying vibration in the truck at highway speeds...

my question is...i came across a aluminum driveshaft that is the same length as my current driveshaft, should i use a aluminum driveshaft in a 84 k10 with a 5.3? will it hold up?

Re: drive shaft question

Every new vehicle even the newer 1 tons n such have aluminum shafts. Truck your 5.3 come from had one so i don't see why not so long as the u-joints are right.
