i beleive only in flat beds and stake beds

I've seen 2 C/30 trucks with the dually rear axle in
salvage yards recently. I don't know if they ever made any lighter weight trucks with it, but I believe these were flat bed and stake bed trucks originally. The one may have been a wrecker?

Yup, GM sold them as cab/chassis trucks, and the wrecker bodies and flatbeds or box was installed after production.
The rear that would be in there would be narower than a "normal" dually truck. The old ones tuck the 'extra' wheel in further, instad of out further like modern duallies to. |
