new brakes

i have a brand new set of brakes for a 96 camaro. will they fit on a 71 C10 if i move everything over to it? the only thing would be mounting the calliper to the spindle. i think everything else should fit seeing how its just disk brakes. might have to change the hub out to. the truck has 18" wheels on it

Re: new brakes

I can't say for certain, but I don't believe this is a direct cross-over. The truck brakes are more heavy duty than the cars are/were. I also think the rotors are different sizes, etc...

Re: new brakes

Rotors are different depth, Calipers are different, spindles? I don't what you might encounter there.

When I did my disc brake 5 lug conversion up front, car calipers (Chevelle wouldn't work) and even using a 1974 Chevy 1/2 ton there were two different Rotor Calipers set-ups, One has 1" thick rotors, then there was a "Heavy Duty" 1.25" rotor.

Trial & Error can get trouble-some and expensive
