Water leaking into cab....couple possibilities

It seemed to come from the top couldn't see it , then saw the hole, when the fender came off.

I thought there was jclips or maybe plastic inserts that went into the roof where the screws thread in.


You might need to use a skim coat of clear silicone on the bottom of the lights also to stop the leak.

I have a parts truck with cab lights that i could take one off of and check if need be.

My cab lights are the problem on my crew cab. My solution is to drill out the holes in there and install rivnuts. Then replace the hardware with stainless machine screws. I used some socket head stainless cap screws. No worries about stripping them out. I think they are 6-32 thread.

87 Cab/hinges ,with AC has no foot vent inside there.
I first sealed under the rubber hinge seal(A),
still had water come into the drivers foot area.
seems the seal behind (B) holds in the dirt behind the fender
saw the hole (C) after and figured it was spraying in there
