Re: Custom Built Windshield Wiper Delay Assembly's

I mentioned earlier that I would consider building again. I have given it some thought and I am going to build another batch. Will update as i procure all the ingredients to churn them out one more time. Thanks to all who supported this effort. I can't do it without you.

Thank you for your commitment. I am putting everything together to begin building again. I also experimented with a 250K potentiometer, this allows for about 18-20 seconds of maximum delay vs. nearly 30 seconds. I know my own modern vehicle has a maximum of about 6 seconds of delay-18-20 should be plenty on the high end. What do you think?

Re: Custom Built Windshield Wiper Delay Assembly's

I am still chugging ahead with procurement. It will be a couple of weeks as I am going to squeeze a weeks vacation in to. Thanks again for the continued interest.

One thing that will be different then the earlier NextGens that I made is that all crimps will now be soldered as well. I never had a crimp fail outright but they are crimps and could let go when one pulls on the wire and not the terminal shell. The tiny bit of solder on the crimp really makes them fail resistant.

This unit will fit many wiper circuits. This one works by supplying a pulse of ground to a terminal on your wiper switch that gets grounded when you operate the switch(by hand). Find that terminal on your wiper switch/harness that when grounded, actuates your wipers-wire the delay into these terminals. Simple as that.

Right on, wasn't sure if the connections yours had would hook to my wiring or if would need to cut and splice at all. How much are you asking shipped to 50313? Thanks!
