Need thread size/pitch for...
Working on my truck today. The t-case shifter has been wobbly as of late, and I've pulled the seat and carpet (other work to do while I'm at it). I'm running a new 4L60 in my '72 K10, along with my NP205 t-case and an Advanced Adapter between the two. Turns out the bolt that's fastening the shifter to the adapter was really loose and way too long - looks like someone just threw something (probably wrong) in there at some point. My question is - does anyone know what the thread size and pitch are supposed to be for that location on that particular adapter? It's a pretty tough spot to measure it while in the truck, and I'm not sure I should trust whatever measurement I could get anyway, since it seems to be halfway clapped out. Hopefully someone has one sitting in their garage for easy measurement! Thanks in advance!

Re: Need thread size/pitch for...
The shift lever bolt, call out #13, is shown in the parts manual as a 7/16-14 thread bolt 2-1/2" long. Might do well to make sure it has the grommets, washers and spacer too.

Re: Need thread size/pitch for...
That helps, thanks Tim! Looks like it's missing a good bit of the extra hardware - washers and grommets. I'm assuming that Advance would have made the adapter using the original lever fixing bolt thread... but we know what happens when you assume. If anyone has the adapter sitting in the garage and can actually measure those internal threads, that would be awesome. For now I'll go off of this.
