Carb help

My FIL recently gave me his '72 c20 that hadn't been running since 2004. It had always hesitated when the gas was munched and since rebuilding the carb with a parts plus rebuild kit it has steadily gotten worse and is now backfiring through the carb and exhaust. The stream in the primary close to the accellerator pump is good and strong but the far side stream is very weak and cuts out quickly to a mist. I've cleaned the tubes in the casting but it's no better. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Almost forgot carb #7042211

Re: Carb help

Move the acc pump rod to a different hole.
Your hesitation might be timing related.
What's your timing set at?
