nv 4500 swap

Ok so I'm swapping a 4500 in my 1980 one ton its in and mounted .working out the clutch details now. I used the 93 bellhousing and am looking for a slave cylinder I know the 93 has the quick disconnect but I seen a slave from a 1990 with a nv3500 that looks right but I don't know . Any ideas other that throw money at it. Thanks up front

Re: nv 4500 swap

next week im also starting this swap, I also use the 93 bell housing and will be using the 87 clutch master and hose connected to the 93 hose and slave .im pretty sure it will work, going this route is about haft of the 300 something $ of the right advance adapter direct fit bell housing. mine is 4x4 and will have a 4 inches suspension lift. Some are saying the 93 slave emplacement will interfere with the 4x4 front drive shaft if the suspension is at stock height. I do not know if this is true yet.

Re: nv 4500 swap

The external slave NV4500 will probably hit the RH drop front driveshaft. That's why I went with the later internal slave tranny. I don't know how much lift it takes to clear it.
