1954 Chevy Truck Tailgate
Hello, I am about to begin my project for my wooden tailgate. I do not have an exact tailgate to measure off of only the bed so if someone could measure their 1954 tailgate and tell me the dimensions I would greatly appreciate it.

I really need the height and total width of the tailgate. I tried measuring my bed but want make sure before I make any final cuts.

My 55.2 tailgate measures 51x19 1/4ins. They might be the same?

I have heard the tailgates are the same for quite some time. My measurements based off of the bed are very close so I will say they are the same. I really appreciate your measurements!

I've got a 54 bed, but I used an 87 tailgate (new) and it fit great. Mine measures 50-3/4" by 19" tall...Jim
