My bed is crooked

So the bed on my truck does not sit level with the cab. The front of the bed is lower by an inch about. The wood is not in it, but is there something missing like a spacer or bushing? The cross bars of the bed sit right on top of the mount. Im sure this has been asked before but i dont know what to put in to search for it.

Re: My bed is crooked

If the wood is not in the bed then there's 3/4 of an inch right there. The wood goes between the bedside and the cross bars so if it's gone and your bedsides are sitting directly on the cross bar then the bed will be lower than stock. Some parts books also show a thick rubber pad that goes between the frame and the cross bars which would also give you some height.

Yep...mine does the same thing...cause the wood isn't in it...the right rear is higher then the left rear...almost thought the frame was tweaked its so bad! LOL!

From what I've been told the rubber was not a factory-installed item. It was installed as a aftermarket add on so you didn't have a metal on metal surface.
