70 Cowl trim
Hope you guys can help me. On my 1970 the cowl "vent" has small holes around it that seem to be for a trim piece of some sort, but I can't find that any trim was or is available for it. Anybody out there have a bright trim piece around their cowl vent? (between hood top and windshield) I'd post pix if I knew how.....Thanks

Welcome to the Forum, in the FAQ I'm sure there are instructions for pic posting. MY COWL Hood on my 67 El Camino said Cowl Induction were you have the holes.

The holes I'm talking about surround the "vent" that is in between the wipers. I've read the pic posting info and still am too computer illiterate to do it.....

The holes look factory and there is a slight fade that kind of outlines where a trim type piece may have been. If I can get one of my kids over, I'm sure they can post a picture for me. Thanks for the replies.

No trim on any of the cowl vents to the best of my knowledge. There is a row of (I think) 5 screws that hold the cowl vent to the cab. they are located right along the edge of the vent openings in front of the wipers. There is also a row of screws under the rear edge of the hood that hold the rubber cowl vent seal in place. LockDoc

I think I figured it out. Judging from the fade marks, I think someone just had a mesh screen of some sort on it to keep leaves etc. out. Definitely not stock. I'll fill the holes when I do body work. Thanks to all.
