insurance quotes questions
Just called my insurance company for a quote on insurance on my 71 GMC SWB and the numbers just don't seem right its like I forgot something to add to the policy.
Stated value 20k full coverage 100k/300k/100k limits road side assistance Antique car policy I stated milage should be around 5000 per year but no penalty if I go over. They quoted me $63 every six months. I am over 40 with multiple policies with them and no accidents or tickets. This just seems too cheap. |

Re: insurance quotes questions
After driving in the Olathe/KC area, I would say that you are right about the cost being too cheap. You live in a driver's Hell up there. There are special Ed drivers all over your town.

Re: insurance quotes questions
Sounds about right. I pay $8.95 a month for full coverage, $500 collision deductible, with towing, $14k stated value.

Re: insurance quotes questions
I know someone who I talked too said he had very inexpensive insurance on his classic at one point but there was a stipulation in there that it could not be driven to work or as a commute vehicle.
So if it sounds too cheap ask what restrictions there may be |

Quote:
We have our truck insured with Hagerty. Stated value 16k (which my wife states is to low of a value) Full coverage 100k/300k/100k limits Road side assistance (we pay $50 towing) Antique car policy Mileage limited to 1,800 miles a year. It runs $292 a year. Which I thought was high. I am 32 with no accidents. Been driving since I was 16. Our normal insurer (USAA) doesn't insure trucks this old. They recommend another company that quoted me $750+ a year for 5,000 miles. |

Re: insurance quotes questions
Wondering? I have USAA, and use their company (American Collectors), 3000 miles a year, insured for 20K........$107.93 year for my 70' and $87.20 for my 72' (15k).

Re: insurance quotes questions
I have USAA also. They have insured every old vehicle I have owned and my current '71 is on it now. I don't have the cost break down in front of me but it's not a bad price for a year.
