A/C Bracket help
I've been searching for anything to help me figure out how to install the compressor I just bought. Here is a pic of everything I bought. Anyone have any idea how this bolts on? I have a 72 C-20 with a 350. It had factory a/c but the motor has been swapped at some point. The guy also gave me the attached condenser which is taller than the one that was in the truck, I think he pulled it from a '76 maybe?
Are these brackets for a different motor? |

Re: A/C Bracket help
Definitely later than '72. Long water pump design and the condenser lines exit the wrong side.

Re: A/C Bracket help
I think they are off a full size car of the same years. 70-80 models.

Re: A/C Bracket help
One of the limiting factors on the condenser size is the way the hood latch brackets, both at the top and the bottom, limit the height of the condenser. The condenser you have is much taller than will fit a 72 truck.

Re: A/C Bracket help
Here are the correct brackets for a small block Chevy truck AC. I sold this set a while back.
