Watching it right now...they seem to enjoy SB Chevys there at Troy...and they DO have a (69-72) 600hp self titled "monster truck" in process there...like to see it side by side with Copperhead!

Great Show.

I'm glad I read this post when I did. I read it at 12:10 am Pacific time, and it was replaying at Midnight! So I'm watching it now, the episode about the 67 Mustang.

I agree, it is a Ford sponsored show. When they mentioned the truck, thats it, it was a truck, not a Chevy truck.
I was supprised they spent any time on his Biscayne.
I would love to drive that thing just one time!!

Then they got the Ford Racing Engine...Freebie, Nota, etc...

Also, can the host!!!

I know, I know it is a show about rods, so I shouldn't complain...

Anyone see the Quadraduece leap from standing still when he gave her? That is an awesome car, kinda sucks that they didnt show how they reattached the front clip or any of the body work.

watching these younger guys to this to these cars just makes me wish that i really paid attention to my father when he was working on his cars.

The first "Rides" show i seen was about Chip Foose. You want to talk about an artist.

I caught a glips of that . Isn't that the truck that was totaled? There were pictures of a simular if not the same truck floating around a few weeks back.

Over all I thought it was a good show. The one last year with Foose started great and I loved the cars but Foose sort of got monotone by the end. I didn't see the show with Foose from last week. This show seemed to flow a little better.

One thing to remember is that Chip is a designer/artist, not a TV personality, he left that to Titus. I talked to Chip for a couple hours back when he was with Boyd, much better in person to talk to. As far as Troy is concerned, I've been watching his stuff since before the Predator. I'd put him near the top in terms of executing a design. I'd rather watch either of these guys work instead of an episode of American Chopper or American Hot Rod (Boyd in a box )

That's true. Titus is a prtty out spoken person so he sort of overwhelmed Chuck. Now no disrepect to the man either. I love the cars he build.

Troy: I want to see a few of his cars. I want to ride in The quadraduce. That has to be a hoot. I have rode in some big HP car with Turbo's My buddies 94 Supra will flat out scare the crap out of you when It one it. It' has dyno'd 652 at the back wheels on race gas. It's backed down a few notches for the street. I'ts making around 500hp on pump. Even at 500HP it's point and click. I can't image what that quadra is like with 1000 less pounds and double the HP.

Boyd: Lost respect for him big time after that show. Came off as a crybaby tyrant always *****ing to get his way. I like a LOT of the cars he has built but I don't have the same respect after seeing the way he carried himself.

Seemed like he was always going between I';m the boos and I'm going to torture you to prove it to stunts to try to make his employees like him.

The funny thing about that show, the bookkeeper that was screamin and yelling, is Boyds EX-wife. She is the only one who has ever been able to keep a grip on the books. She is way cool though. Ive heard a ton of stories.

I thought the show was cool.
I agree get rid of the host and have less commercials.
I wanted to see the 1200HP vet when they took it for a test drive.
I also wanted to see more of that Red '67-'72 in the background.

I have liked troy 's style since the pepto chevelle he built back in the late 80's maybe it was early 90's I was still in school at any rate. It amazes me that they put so much detail into thing's I overlook ....

That was a great episode. I too wish they would have shown more of the details of the reassemly, especially the front frame structure.
