(1994 4.3l v6 TBI) is LATE YEAR block & heads possible?

(1994 4.3l v6 TBI) is LATE YEAR block & heads possible?

So I may need a new engine and am having a hard time finding a low mileage used engine at the bone yards.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to use a newer engine & heads and swap over my 94 TBI intake setup?

I notice on the newer engines the AC and Alt is swapped over.
I dont want to lose my AC charge. Nor do I want to change the wire harness.

Wondering if a possible top end swap and drop in is possible.
I'm not looking to get a V8, just want to get a low milage V6.

Thanks for any advice guys.

You should have no problem using a later model engine with the vortec heads. you will need to swap you accessory brackets to the new engine.

Ohh wow. So even the 96 and later ones with the plastic upper intake will work?
I thought the MAP Manifold Air Pressure was different.
