Odometer Problem

I have a 1977 Stepside, the speedometer works but the odometer will not turn over. You can hear it kind of click as if a spring or something is hung up inside. Before I take it apart I thought I'd see if any of you have had this type of problem and what the fix might be. It has a 100 MPH unit so I'd like to repair it if possible.

sounds like the gear to the od is wore or broken. You can have it rebuilt.
