Newbie from the NorthEast

New to the site, wish I had found it earlier, would have done some things differently.
Building a 1950 GMC suburban. Some work completed, however, there is still quite a bit to do before even thinking about having it on the road.

Stock frame
Mustang II IFS (Heidts), 2" drop spindles
Chevy 350
Powerglide 2 spd auto (had one on my 68 Impala and it worked great), came with truck, would like a better one eventually.
Ford 9" rear end, 4" lowering blocks
Disc brakes all around
Escalade interior
Steering column from a '75? Jimmy
Clam shell
Former USN truck, military vehicle

Advice welcome. Particularly, how the hell do you attach a picture without it being sideways?

Re: Newbie from the NorthEast

Had to put things on hold this winter, so no change from the fall. At this pace I'll have it on the road in 2020.
Looking for the rubber/felt for the front end ( to hold on the nose, hood to firewall). Trying to prevent metal to metal. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks.
Hope things are better on your end.
