Re: Tripp's Speed Shop Build
Been on a short break from the old truck build. Been working on fabbing together a pipe bender. Have most of the pieces cut out but need to get it all together.
In the mean time I set myself back on my suspension parts for a little while. Decided I wanted to buy a tig welder. Never touched one in my life, let alone used one but I'm ready to learn. Looked around for a decent one but could find anything in my price range. Finically found one up where I'm originally from (close anyway) which is about 5 hours north of me. Guy needed cash apparently so I picked this little gem up for about 1k bucks. Anyone have one? Likes dislikes etc? Just need to get me some gas and I'm off to the races!!! ![]() ![]()

Re: Tripp's Speed Shop Build
I have a couple of miller welders, and I have NO complaints. Great machines. Looks like you got a pretty good deal on that one too.

Re: Tripp's Speed Shop Build
I also have a 211 mig I use. I prefer miller to all other brands I've used in the mig world. I'm sure their tig will keep me happy too!

Very nice welder. I have a miller at work and love that thing.

Re: Tripp's Speed Shop Build
Very nice work on the frame. That is the work a lot of people will never notice but it makes the build that much nicer in the end. A nice smooth frame is so clean looking.

Re: Tripp's Speed Shop Build
Well yes and no. I've done a few small things here and there but all my money seems to get tied up in other things. Picked up all my paint, primer, filler tape etc from a friend. So there's quit a bit of cash. Also picked up a tube bender and a 1.5" die that I'll be using for my rear bridge and all of my frame supports. So yes and no. I need to start working on the actual truck I know.
