A stock monte carlo frame will flex just as bad as your pickups. If you got a ton of money http://roadstershop.com/chassis/1967-72-c-10/ http://nolimit.net/products#!/~/prod...32&id=26244635

Your gmc has a good strong frame. Is it bent or rotted?

Re: 67-72 truck body on a camaro or monte frame?
I did a 4/6 drop from Early Classic Enterprise, rebuilt the steering with moog parts and added a quick ratio steering box. I also used some 17x8.5 rims and addded a swaybar from a 3/4 ton truck. Didnt break the bank and it handled great compared to what it was. This was all on a 72 Stepside shortbed. Just boxing the frame and adding an extra crossmember will help as well. It all depends on skill level and money....

Do you have the truck arms or do you have leaf springs in the rear?

Re: 67-72 truck body on a camaro or monte frame?
Are you thinking of convrrting to disc brakes also?. Definatly het a 1 1/4" sway bar with new bushings for the front. Huge difference!. Bushings are 8$ a pair at o reillys
New shocks and control arm bushings really make the truck feel better too. The KYBs are great shocks for the money Im just thinking youd be best off staying with your frame. A car frame isint made to handle a trucks body style, sway or ride at all without serious modification. Also i bet the wheels wouldnt tuck in right either. Im pretty sure a gmc half ton is actually thicker than a chevy c10 frame as well. Your time and money would most likely be better off building your gmc frame to handle how youd like

A good suspension rebuild, drop, sway bar, and an agressive alignment will make all the difference in the world.

If you price everything to rebuild the front with all new stuff and brakes it gets pricey.
Check out No-Limit wide ride. It will out perform most everything out there. ( or maybe all of them ) Proof is in the results |
