A lot of what I've seen called street freaks in the early days were gasser style show cars. Thanks for the response guys. I figured I would get a lot more flaq than this. So far I'm loving what I see. Anyone know the titles of the truck mags from back then? I know about Offroad, Pickups and mini trucks, and truckin. Were there others? Even van magazines as I like vans too?

There was a blue '71 El Camino in my home town with steamrollers out back that stuck out 3" or 4" past the fender thanks to air shocks that jacked it way up, pizza cutters out front. Every time I think of '70's cars, that's the first one that pops into my head.

Agree. A gasser on the racetrack is a gasser.

A gasser on the street is a freak.

I cant turn my LWB 454 into a street freak, but I do have some vintage louvers I bought in the original box at a swap meet.
