Hello everyone. I'm in desperate need of help in replacing the mount for my brake booster. As I was taking the vehicle apart I removed and tossed the factory bracket. Can anyone provide the dimensions of the plate & where the holes are? It would be greatly appreciated. If someone has one to purchase that would be great too.
Thanks, Greg |

Re: 59 Chevy Frame mount for brake booster
That pic is the factory bracket, stock MC bolts to it. Most aftermarket kits bolt to it too.

Thanks for the reply. I'm aware that is the factory bracket & that's the part I tossed when tearing the vehicle down. I need to know the dimensions of the factory plate & bolt holes to make a replacement or if someone has a wrecked frame I can get that specific part from.
Thanks, Greg |

Re: 59 Chevy Frame mount for brake booster
OK, just wanted to clarify you were not searching for something else. I will see if I can get to mine to measure it, maybe someone else with a bare frame will chime in....

Re: 59 Chevy Frame mount for brake booster
Went out and measured mine as best I could. Could not get to the top and assume you can figure out the rivet holes. I did not pull a bolt, but think they are 7/16 -16 (standard thread), could not tell if the metal is threaded or a bolt is welded on the back side.

Re: 59 Chevy Frame mount for brake booster
I might have one of those if the guy hasn't hauled off the old frame yet. I'll try to get hold of him today and see. Those rivets are a real PITA to get out. Why did you pull yours off?

Re: 59 Chevy Frame mount for brake booster
ChuckDriver,
Thanks for the awesome measurements. When I originally tore the truck apart I was gonna go with a firewall mount brake booster so silly me I tore the old one off & threw it away. Then I had the frame powder coated & had ordered a frame mount booster kit. I just like the clean firewall look better I think. I really appreciate the help.. Re: 59 Chevy Frame mount for brake booster
If you need a booster, I have one that I was going to list in the sale portion of the site.
