help me now please
some of you may have read the post i put up last night about finally figuring my wiring harness out and installed and finally got the truck started but i was checking all the lights and none of my taillights or blinkers work. as soon as you turn on the lights the fuse blows, what could this be. i need the truck today so what can i do

Something is grounded causing too much current flow. Make sure the harness isn't pinched between metal somewhere.

Could be that you have the power source to the tail end powering something else as well. Be sure to check that it is only powering what it is supposed to be, not any other things such as a radio!

first place to check is the wire harness running down the drivers side frame rail they commonly are dry rotted an short to the clips that attach it to the frame rail

Agreed, check the under body wiring harness. I had the exact same problem...parking and dash lights would blow the fuse when turned on.
The wire going to my lisence plate lights had worn through the insulation and grounded on the frame. Good luck!

Brake light switch
I kept blowing bulbs (not fuses) because of the brake light switch!

after that check the sockets and the bulbs in there too
