Stock radio reprogram

I found a stock gm radio in the junk yard I heard if you send them back to gm they will re program the radio to have an aux hookup and change the insides is this true?

Never heard of GM doing this, so I would say not true. I had my factory radio redone by http://www.turnswitch.com with modern internals and auxiliary hook ups.

Is faster to just put it under your pillow and let the radio fairy get it done. Or you can ask Santa for it, but that is months away still.

On there website it says starting at 385 plus 25 bucks if you want it to have aux
