Hatch handle installation
I need help installing hatch handle,I disassemble hatch last year,I can't remember how to put back.

Does the hatch need to be separated or split open to install all the guts and handle? I have a pretty decent hatch with glass and no handle or guts. I also have a slightly cracked hatch with no glass and all the guts and handle. Just trying to figure out if I should just swap handle and guts or if it's just too much of a hassle.

No, Ive pulled and installed the handle n stuff many times w/o separating it. There is a metal plate that all this screws to that is riveted to the fiberglass that stays in it.

All the guts and linkage rods can be fed in through the access hole.
