Nothing till now...Had to visit the mother-in-laws, she received an award from the local Chamber. I'm still off tomorrow, and hope to finish the choke replacement and carb adjustments on the 82, maybe get the new ujoints and overflow bottle in. If I am lucky, the new seat & shoulder belts may get put in. I may get a passing glance at the 70 under it's tarp.

well, i got my 2wd rear suspension from a board member, and i delivered the rest of the 4wd stuff i had to him. i got more done on my camaro. i removed the front sheetmetal so i can pull the subframe off and send it to get powder coated along with the blazer parts. so far that has been the only upside to having to projects going on at once, otherwise, it's aheadache. oh, and i went to the pomona swap meet

Cleaned up and painted the needles of my dash, look good behind a freshly polished lense. Cleaned up front drums and cleaned up the outer hubs. opened up front cover, big supprise,
really clean with no problem. The pinion was wobbling around something terrible so I was expecting the worst. Looks like just some new shims to snug things up. Not enough hours in this week end for the rest, got to go find some brake shoes.

Fired Her Up

Did the 'ol tune up deal. Oil, trans, P/S, plugs, wires, rad check. Ordered a slew of parts from ****************, yard work. Next weekend's list is already stacking up. Should be fun

Wow... you guys have done so much compared to me... LOL

Saturday I slept in, then started stripping paint on my hood. I learned that you need to work in small sections at a time because at $4/can of stripper, it is expensive and if it dries it does not come off very well! Oh well watched some football today and went to church and youth group. Tommorow since there is no school I plan on going into work in the morning and then going back to my dad's shop to find more stuff to do on my truck... A.K.A. strip/sand more paint!

Put some new (old) retro slots on the ride and took it for a spin around the block. I love those slots and 275's...rides better too. Now I just have to lower it another 4 inches!

Got out of the hospital on Friday after having surgery on my neck. I had four discs fused from bone that was taken from my hip. Instantly got the feeling back in my left hand. Got about forty stiches in the front of my neck and ten staples on the left side just above the top of the hipbone. Haven't felt better in about a year.

I reassembled the BB and will return it to the junk yard tommorow. Start the quest of looking for another one this week. I'm getting tired of the search maybe give up the BB idea and look for a 5.7 vortec.

Unhappy Well, abra cadabra didn't work...

I still had to block-sand my tailgate. FUN! Also did one of the bedsides and got the air conditioning/heater boxes back in the cab.

Saturday I met Dannyb and his wife... nice couple.

and Sunday I spent 4.5 hours drilling out 150 spot welds on my buddies Cougar to remove the cowl to access the rust underneath. that spot weld cutter from eastwood is the ticket!

broke 4 drill bits drilling the pilot hole for the spot weld cutter.

Worked out the logistics for the next two weekends coming up... I get to pull two motors and reinstall one in my 70 with a new tranny!! I should have a completely different beater by the end of April!! 4/6 drop and a V-8 with a posi rear-end... wooohoo

After a solid week of -20F+ weather (if you're counting, here's another veiled reference to the weather in NH ), it got above zero so I went out and started the plow truck and my 4x4 burb. Other than that, I spent Saturday with the family and watched the Patriots throttle the Colts on Sunday.

I hauled my kid around to 3 hockey games in two days. They were 2-0-1 for the weekend. He's just a mite, but it's still fun.

Both daughters started selling girl scout cookies this weekend.

Oh yeah, walked past my truck a couple times to get to the suburban, and I actually opened the drivers side door because I thought I might have left something in there last week.

Seeing that I'm going to replace all the sheet metal on the truck, inc the cab, and my truck is or was multi colored (looked like crap). I dug out a gallon of GM resto black, semi gloss eggshell, did a quicky sand and shot it all one color. Still looks like hell but it's easier on the eyes now. It looks great at nite.

Saturday, cleaned the house before I pick my wife up from the airport early Sunday AM after 10 days at a conference inLas Vegas. After 10 days of bnachelor life it needed a tidy! Sunday up at 6.45 to get to the airport. Wife went to bed I pulled the drivers door panel, stripped the old vinyl off, cleaned the old glue off it, wire brushed it and treated it with rust convertor, hammered out a dent or two. Today it's had a couple of coats of rattle can primer and gloss black tomorrow, going to pick up some nice red vinyl today to recover both panels to match the new carpet going in soon.
