Got a new one today

Well My Buddy Steve did... He got me started with my 70.
He has a 70 c20 and a 71 c10
we came across this 65 c10 today at the swap meet and I could not let him pass it up, he has been talking about a truck like this 65 for 2 years...
It's a Texas truck with no rust... I mean NO RUST... the dang rubber is even good...
All It needs is a new wood bed floor, but I can make one of those and it has all the original bed strips and they are in perfect shape as well...

I know its not a 67-72 but I thought I would share...

As soon as we got it home we hit it with some CLR and starting putting some oil/wax protective finish on it before it got to dark... its a 250/ 3 on the tree.
he is giving the 71 to his son to make room in the drive.

Ok here are the pics! Life is good.

Man, what a great find! Looks like it cleaned up really nice too! (And how are some of you guys getting so lucky in finding these trucks with the original hubcaps still on them?! )

The finish is called Odie's Oil. It was originally created as a natural wood floor finish, but over the years we have used it for everything from wood finish to a finish to keep cast iron woodworking machinery from rusting, it also makes a very good leather preservative.
If your interested in it, just Google it and you will find the site. My friend James in the creator.

Here is one more shots of the truck from the weekend.
