Hydro boost question

I was talking to a buddy of mine over the weekend. He has an '04 cobra that has now turned into pretty much a drag car, 1000+hp twin turbo setup. He mentioned to me his plans this winter is to convert to manual brakes and steering. This got me thinking.

Will the hydroboost off a 2004 mustang cobra work in my truck? Would it be worth it to pick up or go with one out of like a van which seems to be very popular. I currently don't know much about them other than they seem to be the way to go. My truck does have power brakes fwiw.
