door jamb switch location?

Hi; Can anybody out there give me the proper location for the installation of the door jamb switches, into a 1968 C-10, which activate the under dash courtesy lamps? The truck I'm installing these is didn't have them originally?

Thanks for considering,

Brett

Re: door jamb switch location?

Here's one thread that may help. Courtesy lights should work off the dome light switches if your truck is equipped with them. Switches were not included with the lower trim levels, for at least the early years, in which case, the dome light only worked from the headlight switch.

Re: door jamb switch location?

I may have missed it cause I hurried through the other post but the post also has a center punch mark on it to drill the starting hole for the dome lamp switch. That center punch will put you in the correct location. Welcome to the site. Jim
