Powerglide from 67 camaro compatibility
Will a powerglide from a 67 Camaro fit in our trucks? Are the short and long tailshafts the only difference? Was planning on going with stock 350, trying to do on the cheap.
I've done a 700r4 conversion on my old 69 so I'm familiar with manual to auto conversions. What are your thoughts on the powerglide in our trucks? thanks

Re: Powerglide from 67 camaro compatibility
Short answer..... yes! May I ask why? I think it's an awesome racing transmission, but I didn't like the one in my 66 El Camino at all. I'll hunt down the measurements.

Re: Powerglide from 67 camaro compatibility
I have a 3OTT now, works great but wears me out in traffic. Found one on CL for $250, don't know condition.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Powerglide from 67 camaro compatibility
I don't know, it seems too expensive unless it's had a recent rebuild. A th350 should be roughly similar in price for a used one.
