Suggestions for new headers

Hey everyone, I'm brand new to the site. I recently bought a 1967 C10 Stepside and put in a new Chevrolet Performance small block 350/290 hp crate motor (long story). I need to replace the headers as the flanges are pretty thin and causing a slight leak. Looking for suggestions on quality headers to match up with a Magnaflow exhaust (some recommendations have said Sanderson headers would be the way to go). Thanks for any input.

Re: Suggestions for new headers

I'm running hedman elites, thick flanges, ball and socket collectors, coated. IMHO great quality. I'd use them again. Check out their web site, they now make a header for our application. When I got mine five or six years ago they did not have a specific one for our trucks.

Those are good too, I used them on a 280Z SBC conversion, although I still put gaskets on them.

Re: Suggestions for new headers

Thanks for the input guys. I contacted Sanderson and they recommended the CC17 headers for my specific truck. Last question, I have the 700r4 transmission but overdrive does not engage. Any thoughts or suggestions?? The rebuilt tranny was purchased by the prior truck owner 6 months ago.

Could be built wrong, or failed.
Could be mis-adjusted.
Could be bad converter.
Could be 2-4 servo
Could be 4th gear one way backwards.

Could be a lot of things.
