well, not carb gaskets, cant find any air leaks, tried bigger jets in carb, no, had exhuast leaks fixed today whole system is good now (huge difference in drivability), after work today switched back to Quadra-jet, still does it. I cant imagine any Quadra-jet running lean, heck maybe its something wrong in the valve train, man I am really ready to just run this thing with the radio on and wait for something to break. I am really fussy with the running condition of my other cars, and this pickup is such a cream puff, maybe a nice 454 with a good 396 crank, good pistons and rods, roller hydralic, and the right upper goodies, all balanced together would make a nice 427? Who am I kidding, I want to find and fix the problem, isnt that what men do? Thanks for listening, this forum is therapy sometimes.
