A couple of pics with the 6.0 and 4L80E installed , if the funds are not to tight really considering a turbo kit , 650 hp range will help get this monster through a intersection a little quicker

Re: Here we go , 70 4x4 Crewcab 6.0 build
Winter has been hard on me had to pull the engine out of my 55 and make some changes. The truck is getting some time as I have it, we have the rear doors figured out and bought a roof from a full size van. Hope to have some progress pics up soon

Re: Here we go , 70 4x4 Crewcab 6.0 build
Awesome build. It reaffirms my belief that "I am not alone out there". People have asked my why would you build a 68 1ton dually short bed step side? I answer because I have not seen another. Would be cool to go to a major show and have the "only one there like it".
That cab back sure looks familiar too.

Are there any other cab construction or completed pictures of your truck posted?
This is the only other I can find.

Re: Here we go , 70 4x4 Crewcab 6.0 build
Thanks for the update and we look forward to seeing some pictures!
It gives hope to a truck I'd still like to build, a 4x4 Longhorn 30 in the Alton conversion style.

Re: Here we go , 70 4x4 Crewcab 6.0 build
For some reason the pics on my phone download but never post here. I have around 250 photos so far. You can go to Facebook and check pics on my page , Louis Jackson ( Orange 55 chevy profile pic ) or 67-72-Chevy C-10 page. do a search for CC/30 and all the build pics should come up. Paint should be finished in about 3 weeks , then the axles will get rebuilt and paint the frame , LS is at the shop now and is getting upgraded internals to handle the F-1 Procharger I have for it. After the chassis is finished and powertrain is in it we will set the body back on the frame. We added 52 1/2 inches to it

I like your work on the floor pans. Looks like a good plan. That is an awesome looking truck your building. What kind of seat will you use at the back of the cab? |
