Question '87 GMC R1500 5.7l TBI

Can anybody give me any ideas on how to tweak this thing and what I can do to dress the outside up?? Just plain like it came from the factory right now. Had some old aluminum running boards that I took off. Made it look like a grandpa truck! Any info or advice is always appreciated!

Well, I'd start out putting a set of 18's on it, then drop it 5"/7", remove all the chrome trim and crap. Then it should be stylin

I like the look of the chrome molding around the bottom and behind the cab. Definitely get rid of the wheel well molding though. And like the others have said, lowering and nicer rims always looks good on a SWB Chevy/GMC. Some like the look of a stock grill, others like the billet ones. Maybe a cowl hood if you have the money. They have several styles to pick from now. Another thing is to check out Ebay. There is might be someone getting rid of something you may need.

Bottom line is: What do you want to do with your truck? Leave it stock? Lower it? Do some custom pieces on it? Go all out custom? Performance?

Hay something to be said for being incognito. Just ask all the punks in hondas I have run off the road that were trying to beat traffic in a turn only lane only to find 20ft of burb with pizza pan hubcaps at 1/2 throttle pulling them. RAT sure does pull like a MF when it's empty.

Had to take off the running boards though. I did buy it from a couple in their mid 80's
