Clear headlight recommendations?

So it's finally time to start shopping for some replacements for my bug eyed, condensation-having headlights.

Anyone have any suggestions for something you can still get these days? I like the clear lens look, but I've seen good and bad stuff about most of the ones I can find out there.

If anyone has bought some headlights (clear or stock-ish) lately and has a recommendation for brand and where to buy them, I'd love to hear it.

Re: Clear headlight recommendations?

Late model restoration had a fantastic set, but they closed up about 3 years ago. I have a set on my 99, and I love them

I hear a lot of people on here talking about tyc elegante lights. I have not seen any in person, but a lot of people on this board like them. They are no longer made, but they do show up on ebay once and while.

About a week ago, I put a set of anzo lights on my 96 rollback. I haven't gotten a chance to drive it at night yet, but so far so good.

On all my gm trucks with composite lights, I run silverstar ultra or nighthawk bulbs. I also do the high four mod.

I've seen the same thing about the tyc elegante lights. Where did you get your anzo lights? Did they line up well and everything?

Re: Clear headlight recommendations?

I looked them up on summit, then copied the numbers into amazon. Lower price and I have a prime account.

I got anzo 111099. I used the headlights and turnsignals. I then proceeded to throw the sidemarkers in the trash. I dont think they look good on these trucks.

The only thing I don't like about the anzos is the perimeter around the turnsignal is not black like the factory ones. I had no problems aligning the lights. They fit nicely in the grill opening. I will snap a couple pics tomorrow.

Re: Clear headlight recommendations?

I just found tyc elegante lights on EBay a few weeks ago. MUCH better than the factory light pattern! On my 93 Suburban the lows were so low you could easily out drive them in rural unlit areas. High beams were good. Of course you could raise the lows but then the highws were in the trees. The tyc elegante lights are perfect!

Re: Clear headlight recommendations?

I put clear headlights from LMC into my 1991 Chevy Silverado and they worked great. for the money, they stayed clear and I used a high wattage bulb in them without melting them.

Re: Clear headlight recommendations?

I'd like to know a good brand as well since the TYC's seem to have disappeared.

I have TYC's on my red 98 and love them but they were hard to find even over a year or 2 ago & I paid for them when I found them.

I haven't had very good luck with other cheap brands of clear lights so I put stock style Depot brand ebay headlights & turn signals on my blue 98 and a set of smoked corners.
I've been please with them & they haven't gotten any moisture in them at all.
