Could be an orignial 50th Burb on Ebay.

I think this guys description is a little off. This thing seems to have quite a bit of rust. Look under where the trim was, sure looks like it could be gold to me. An the interior seems to be the correct "fawn" color that the 50th Burbs came with. Also has all the trim that should be on a 50th. It also seems like it might be hard to ever prove it was an original 50th burb since the glove box door with the sticker on it looks to have been replaced. Unless the guy just painted the outside black.

This is possibly the second one I have seen on ebay that has been painted over. Anyone remeber the black one in Texas about 4 months back?

I would have to agree that the description is a "little off"!

Its just a shame that I dont have the time to make a road trip.. I do believe also that its a 50th burb just hiding under different colors.

orange/black combo

Sure fits some of the 50th options. Deluxe horn knob, deluxe door and side panels, ebrake handle cover, full trim both on sides and grill. Front seat looks to be 71/72 cover.

Looks like former Colorado bicycle sag wagon with part of bike rack ontop and schwinn sticker in rear window. CO. is bike training mecca, training at altitude is the best. Anyone watch movie American Flyer? Can't forget the hitch-hiker in that one!!

Good eye, this may indeed be a gem in the rough. At $1500 advertised price, sounds like a bargan.

dont trust that guy, his descriptions are way off, i went and looked at a truck he had for sale (83 C-10) and he said the body was perfect with no rust or filler, got up there and the thing was a piece of crap, bondo everywhere, rusted through doors, and the bed and frame were tweaked, not to mention it ran like sh@t. he was only out to make money.

I'd be leary

By the rot in the door sills, I'd think the paint is just a candy coating.

descritpion

From what I read and saw in pics it looks like he is telling it as it is. It looks real typical for burb rust areas and amounts. Sure paint can hide some but that paint is older. These trucks can have patch panels welded in and rust removed and new life brought into them. For me it would depend alot on all the big panel dings and roof and front pillar rust. I passed up one last summer that had way too many dents out in open big sheet metal (stretched metal everywhere) I think it was a 68 1/ ton burb golden aniversary too.

I guess I am spoiled with my 50th Burb and the vehicles in Arizona. That burb just seems like to much work. If it was in better shape, I would never have posted it, and bid on it It was under $100 when i originally posted. Ive see things in better shape come out of Colorado.

I don't see any evidence of the white paint below the trim line. They would have split the white half way through wouldn't they? And it does look like too much work for $1500 w/o an engine and tranny.

50th Burbs do not have white below the trim line. They are gold with white on the roof. The same is with Panes and vans too.
