99 Silverado 2500 4L60e removal question

How much of a PITA is pulling 4L60e that s#!+ the bed in my 2500 reg cab long bed w/5.3? Im trying to save some $$$ labor wise so the tranny shop can just look at it to see what the damage is gonna theoretically be to either rebuild it or go with a wrecker unit. Ive helped pull trannys before but never undertaken it at home. Are there any quirky things to taking it out I should know about? I don't have a lift or a pit in my garage either but lots of tools including the air variety. Thanks in advance for any replies to my inquiry.

Pretty straight forward. remove cable shifter, remove cooler lines, and dont forget to unplug the nuetral safety and other misc. wiring.

btw. the truck has to be jacked up fairly substantionally to clear the bell housing to pull it out from under the truck. i had my truck on my 10 ton stands and they were close to not cutting it (front and rear).
