How do I coat my headers, or where can I get them coated?

1957 chevy swb 454ci
I want to coat the headers on my big block chevy now that I have them off. Can I do it my self--or do I have a company do it?
Any companies in the Austin TX area coat headers?

New or have they been run? If there's any surface rust or contamination, coating may not stick.
I've used NitroPlate in the past with great success.

We have used Jet Hot many times. Have never had any trouble with them.

I found ricochet custom ceramic coatings, in austin, tx. They want $350 to coat the Headman steel headers about 28" long. The headers have maybe 1,500 miles on them.

PS: from larry. I do not think I will pay $350 to have them coated. What do you all consider a good price, or is it worth it?

Here it's $150 which includes sandblasting to remove rust etc. It use to be $75 a few years back. I think $350 is outrageous.

Good ceramic coating from a reputable shop (not easy to find locally) will run about $300 in my area.

I don't think $350 is crazy at all for prepping and coating a used set of headers. Just look at what the cost difference is between a set of new uncoated headers, compared to a set of new coated headers. That cost difference should even be less than you having it done too, because they do them in huge batches at a great discount and I think it sill comes out to a hundreds of dollars difference
